Life story
Elizabeth B. "Lizzie" Kamm was born in Missouri in May 1893, a daughter of Robert Kamm and Barbara Hegnauer, who were then farming in Pleasant Gap Township, Bates County.1 In June 1900 "Lizzie B.", seven, was at school, and that January she and her sister Maggie had been among the pupils of the Scifres School.1–2 By 1910 the family had moved to a rented farm in Osage Township, just outside Rich Hill, where Lizzie, sixteen, was at home with her parents and five brothers and sisters.3
Lizzie was not at home in January 1920.4 She married Edward McVicker, and when her mother died in January 1923 she was named among the survivors as "Mrs. Edw. McVickers"; eleven years later, at her father's death, the Rich Hill paper printed her name as "Mrs. J. E. Vicker".5–6 Find a Grave gives her death in 1979, at Nevada, Missouri.7
