The most important new finds

1. The move to Appleton City has an exact date. On Tuesday 28 Aug 1906 he moved the family into the Deardoff residence in the south-west part of Appleton City, "in order that his son … may attend the Academy". Sources: ACJ 30 Aug 1906 (reprinted in the Butler Daily Democrat); ACJ 27 Sep 1906; Rich Hill Tribune 6 Sep 1906. This settles the "about 1906 / about 1907 / 1911" conflict.

2. His death week is now documented day by day.

   • He was stricken on Friday 27 Oct and died on the afternoon of Tuesday 31 Oct. The body was taken to Prairie City on Wednesday, and the funeral was put off to Sunday to wait for his son Leonard from Washington. Source: "Another Pioneer Passes", ACJ 2 Nov 1916.
   • Robert and his wife arrived from Wells, Minn., on Saturday 28 Oct.
   • Leonard Jr. came from Pullman and left again on Monday 6 Nov.
   • Mourners came from Rockville, and "a large crowd" attended the funeral at the Reformed church.
   • Gen. J. B. Steadman Post No. 172, G.A.R., passed resolutions on his death (ACJ 9 Nov 1916, p. 8).
   • The Rockville Booster obituary "Gone to His Reward" is reprinted in The Republican Press, 10 Nov 1916, p. 3. That is the unidentified "booster" clip cited in H0003.
   • "The Third President" (Butler Daily Democrat, 13 Nov 1916) names him as the third president of the bank to die while W. E. Heyle was cashier.

3. Estate.

   • The St. Clair County Probate Court granted letters of administration to his son Christian on 21 Nov 1916.
   • The first semi-annual settlement was due on 14 Aug 1917.
   • The final settlement was docketed for the February 1918 term (the day before 13 Feb 1918) and docketed again for 15 May 1918 (see the H0038 survey abstracts).

4. Bank of Rockville.

   • He was a stockholder when the bank was founded in Sep 1890.
   • He was elected vice-president in Oct 1897 (already cited).
   • He was a director on the statements of 1903–08, under president J. C. Laughlin.
   • He was vice-president under Laughlin in 1907–09 (the bank write-up, the standing advertisements).
   • He was president by Jan 1916, when the Booster's article on the bank's 25 years named "L. Hagnauer, president; J. E. Hook, Vice-President".

5. Politics and public service. He was a Republican throughout.

   • He was the party's candidate for county treasurer in 1884 and county judge in 1892, and lost both times.
   • He was a convention delegate in 1884, 1898 and 1902.
   • He served as election judge at Pleasant Gap (1894), as a petit juror (1893), as a judge of the Appleton City elections (1908, 1909, 1910, 1913) and as a judge of the Aug 1908 primary.
   • The Rich Hill Tribune (1901) called him "a reliable Republican always" and "one of Bates county's substantial farmers who understands politics as well as agriculture".

6. Veteran. He registered at the veterans' reunion at Springfield in Aug 1897 as "L. Hegnauer, Co. E, 4th Mo."

7. Lodge (probable). He sat on the committee of Oro Lodge No. 153, A.O.U.W., that wrote the resolutions on the death of Fred Fix in 1901.

8. Family.

   • His daughter Katie married Joseph M. Link on 24 Oct 1895. The source is Link's death notice (ACJ 28 Sep 1916), which names "Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Hegnauer of this city".
   • In 1907 Link was treated at Leonhard's house while Leonhard looked after Link's farm.
   • In Feb 1911 Leonhard sold Link 40 acres in Sec. 23, Pleasant Gap, for $2,800.
   • The family held a reunion every year at Chris's farm, "where Grandpa and Grandma Hegnauer formerly lived". About sixty people attended on 22 Aug 1915, and the article lists the families present.
   • Susanna's sister Rosina Tontz, Mrs. Louisa Hirschi and the Hitz family were visiting in the days just before his stroke.
9. Susanna.
   • In Sep 1907 she spent a week with relatives in Oklahoma, with her son Robert.
   • In Jan 1916 both she and Leonhard were "on the sick list".
   • After his death she lived with her daughter Mary Hammer: "grandma Hegnauer … is staying with her daughter, Mrs. Fred Hammer" (ACJ 26 Apr 1917).
   • In Oct 1917 she visited relatives in Carthage with Mary.

1. Newspaper items already cited in the masters (before this harvest)

The repository holds three more items that neither master cites:

• the quitclaim of 1890, "Leonard Hegnauer et al to John Kamm" (images 999292856 and 999128949), cited in H0008, H0036 and H0043;
• the ACJ probate calendar of 11 Apr 1918 (image 863299402), in the H0038 survey abstracts only;

• Every query used the site's own search endpoint (/api/search/query), called from the signed-in page.
• Parameters: keyword, date-start, date-end, region (the state) and sometimes county; entity type page; sorted by paper date; 100 records per request. Every page of results was fetched.
• The result lists were merged into one worklist:
  • the Missouri results, the Madison and Bond County (Ill.) results and the "Hegnauer Hirschi" results made 1,016 pages;
  • 100 pages that matched only "Hagnauer" in St. Louis papers (another family) were removed;

P. one Bay Pony, supposed to be 3 years old, about 14 hands high, black mane and tail, also, left hind foot white, branded on right shoulder with letter K. Appraised at $28, by Leonard Hegnauer and Carl Hubner. J. W. Brooks, J. P.

Taken up as a stray by Carl Hubner of Pleasant Gap twp, Bates Co. Mo., on the 2nd day of Dec. 1873, and posted before the undersigned J. P. one four year old steer, color, Brown, with white tail and white in face. Appraised at $2[8?] by Anton Hammer and Leonard Hegnauer. J. W. Brooks, J. P.

Facts: he was living in Pleasant Gap Township by 1873, and his neighbours Anton Hammer and Carl Hubner trusted him as an appraiser. Identity: certain. The full name is given, and his son was one year old.

2. Bates County Record, Sat 6 Sep 1884, p. 3 (999273745). The Republican county convention's list of delegates is set out by township. Under Pleasant Gap a name reads "…Hagenauer", and the initial could not be read. Probable: his brother Martin also lived in the township, but Leonhard was the party's nominee for county treasurer that autumn.

3. Butler Weekly Times, Wed 12 Nov 1884, p. 5 (859828766). This is the official vote of Bates County "as cast Nov. 4, 1884". For county treasurer the column heads read "Catron, D." and "Hegnauer, R.", that is, the Democrat and the Republican. The Bates County Republican of 7 Nov 1884, p. 2 (1000337032, read by the Luzius harvest) gives "R. S. Catron 569 / L. Hegnaner 513". Facts: he was the Republican nominee for Bates County treasurer in 1884 and was defeated.

4. Butler Weekly Times, 23 Dec 1885, p. 6 (859839827). This is the Luzius harvest's reading, not re-opened here. The item is headed "Meeting of Tax Payers" and credited to the Rockville Globe. The citizens and tax-payers of the old Prairie township ask for a meeting at Prairie City on 26 Dec "for the purpose of inquiring into our financial interests in the matter of railroad bonds, and compromise of same". The signers include "L. Heganuer", with Fred Fix, Christ Hirni and J. B. Durand.

5. Bates County Record, Sat 9 Feb 1889, p. 3 (999281814).

We received a short call on Monday from L. Hegnawer, of Prairie City. He informs us that the RECORD never reached that office until after it was several days old …

He was complaining that the paper reached the Prairie City post office late.

We received a short call on Thursday from L. Hegnaer and A. Hammer, two of Prairie township's substantial farmers.

8. Appleton City Journal, Thu 18 Sep 1890, p. 1 (863244445).

From Rockville's new and newsy little paper, the Post, we observe that a banking house is to be established in that town. The capital stock is to be $10,000 divided into shares of $100 each. The following are the stock holders: Geo. W. Burford, J. C. Laughlin, Simon Hoffman, Lowry & Lowry, John W. Rubel, John W. Turner, R. B. Murfield, J. B. Durand, Jas. S. Hook, E. H. Carter, L. Hegnauer, A. Hammer, A. A. Wood, H. R. Field, William Kamm, John W. Baldwin, Henry T. Barbour, Henry Meyer, A. W. Ca[n]ity, Fred Fix, E. J. Scott, Dr. Sharpless, Geo. W. Robertson and S. M. Doyle.

Facts: he was an original stockholder of the Bank of Rockville in 1890. This confirms the obituary's "one of the charter members".

10. Appleton City Journal, Thu 10 Sep 1891, p. 4 (863246546). The item is credited to the Bates County Record, where it appeared on 5 Sep 1891, p. 2 (999294362).

A COMPANY composed of twenty of the leading farmers and horse breeders of Southeast Bates, has purchased an "English Shire" stallion of the celebrated importer of fine horses, O. O. Hefner, of Lincoln, Nebraska. A committee selected to make the purchase, consisting of Wm. Burrows, John Hedges and David Sweazey, went to Lincoln and returned with the horse the first of last week. The horse is a four year old, a dapple bay and weighs 1,800 pounds. Price paid, $1,900. The members of the company are William Burrows, Francis Gilbreath, Geo. Brown, John Hedges, William P. Lane, G. W. Neafus, J. C. Lane, J. W. Gench, F. L. Gench, Daniel Hutton, J. C. Hirni, F. H. Diel, L. Hegnauer, W. A. Siggins, Henry Grobe, W. H. Maltby & Son, Fred Fix, F. Schapaler, Martin Rapp and David Sweazey.—Bates County Record.

Identity: probable for the father. The son was a 19-year-old Academy student, and Luzius was 71.

Mr. Leonard Hegnauer, of Prairie City, was a welcome visitor at the RECORD office Wednesday.

12. Appleton City Journal, Thu 22 Sep 1892, p. 5 (863190968).

L. Hegnauer one of oldest settlers in Pleasant Gap neighborhood bought a fine Kimball Organ from our live music dealers Diven & Deffenbaugh. Get their prices. See their Pianos and Organs, and then enquire of any of twenty-six number-one farmers they have sold to, in regard to their honest way of dealing …

Identity: probably Leonhard. As the Luzius review argues, "oldest settlers" means the earliest settlers. Leonhard was in the neighbourhood from 1869–70, and Luzius is not found there before 1884.

13. Bates County Democrat, Thu 17 Nov 1892, p. 7 (999113420). The official county vote table reads "… Fix 1637 / Hegenaur 1188 / Lyle 933 …". The Rich Hill vote in the issue of 10 Nov 1892, p. 5 (999113359), reads "Fix 659 / Hegenaur 225 / Lyle 467". The Luzius harvest found "L. Hegenour, candidate for Judge" in the Butler Weekly Times of 19 Oct – 2 Nov 1892. Facts: he was the Republican candidate for Bates County judge in 1892. Fred Fix beat him, and Fix later became his colleague as president of the Rockville bank.

14. Appleton City Journal, Thu 1 Jun 1893, p. 3 (863193721).

Leonard Hegnauer Sr., a prominent citizen of Prairie City, came over to witness the commencement exercises of the Appleton City Academy. His son, Leonard Hegnauer Jr., was a member of the graduation class of the Academy this year.

Leonard Hegenaur went to Chicago last week to take in the fair.

Possible: this could be the father or the newly graduated son. The fair was the World's Columbian Exposition.

15a. The Messenger (Adrian), 22 Sep 1893, p. 1 (998745508). This is the Luzius review's reading (A7). The county court's list of petit jurors for the November term includes "L Heganaur, Pleasant Gap".

16. Bates County Democrat, Thu 4 Oct 1894, p. 4 (999429558). The judges of election are listed by township: "PLEASANT GAP. W. A. Allen, S. S. Starr, L. Hegnaur and Joe Wix, Jr." The county's financial statement for May 1894 – April 1895 (Rich Hill Daily Review, 29 May 1895, p. 2, 1000577195) shows $1.50 paid to each of "C Hegnauer" and "L Hegnauer" among the election officers.

Facts: he attended the veterans' reunion at Springfield in Aug 1897. Certain: Co. E, 4th Mo. Inf., was Leonhard's company, while Luzius served in Co. F.

Messrs. Hegnaur, Steiner and Hammer returned Wednesday from Oklahoma.

22. Rich Hill Mining Review, Thu 27 Jun 1901, p. 8, "Condolence" (1000383696).

Whereas, it has pleased our Grand master Workman of the universe to call from our midst brother Fred Fix, a member of Oro. Lodge 153, A. O. U. W., from earthly toil and labor, to take his station where peace and harmony prevails and the cares of to-morrow are no more. Whereas, Oro. Lodge has lost a faithful brother Workman, his family a true and loving husband and father, the community a faithful and trusted citizen, be it Resolved, that the usual marks of respect and mourning be shown the departed brother, that a copy of these resolutions be spread on our minutes, a copy be sent to bereaved family and a copy be published in a local paper. Probable for the father: the son was teaching at Onarga, Ill., in 1901. The item suggests that Leonhard belonged to the Ancient Order of United Workmen, Oro Lodge No. 153, and it shows his friendship with Fred Fix, the bank's first president.

23. Rich Hill Tribune, Thu 15 Aug 1901, p. 1 (64138293).

Mr. Leonard Hegnauer was in the city Tuesday, and called on THE TRIBUNE. He is one of our best citizens and a reliable Republican always.

The same column reports the son separately: "Prof. L. Hegnauer of Onarga, Ill., is at his home near Prairie City spending his summer vacation with home folks."

24. Rich Hill Tribune, Thu 29 Aug 1901, p. 1 (64138323).

L. Hegnauer, Sr., was over Tuesday from Prairie City attending to business matters and seeing his friends. Mr. Hegnauer is one of Bates county's substantial farmers who understands politics as well as agriculture, and exercises the same good judgment in both.

The same column mentions Susanna's brother Gottlieb: "G. Hirschi, a good farmer and a leading Republican citizen of Prairie township, was in the city last Saturday and called on THE TRIBUNE."

25. Rich Hill Tribune, Thu 2 Jan 1902, p. 1, "Hegnauer—Baker" (61343454). The article announces the son Leonard's marriage to Clara Edith Baker at Onarga, Ill., on 24 Dec 1901. The relevant part:

Leonard Hegnauer is one of the noblest and best young men that ever went out from one of Bates county's best homes. Of a family noted for sterling integrity and unfaltering devotion to good principles, he is an honor to his parents …

The Republicans of Pleasant Gap Township met in convention at Pleasant Gap, Saturday, May 24th, at 2 o'clock p. m., and elected the following delegates to go to the convention at Butler, Thursday, the 29th: B. F. Wix, L. Hegnauer, John Gench, D. B. Swezy, Charley Kisner, L. A. Fuller, W. M. Padley, and Cyrus Requa.

28. Rich Hill Tribune, Thu 16 Apr 1903, p. 3 (61646901).

Rev. Otto Roerich who has been preaching for some time past for his people at Prairie City has been compelled to give up his work on account of ill health and remove to a better climate. Mr. L. Hegnauer and Jacob Finklang brought his household goods to Rich Hill for shipment Tuesday.

The pastor's church is not named. It was presumably the German Reformed congregation at Prairie City, and his name is a lead for the church's history.

• It is the statement of the Bank of Rockville at the close of business on 9 Sep 1903.
• Total resources were $85,690.43, capital $10,000, surplus $1,000 and individual deposits $73,031.27.
• It was sworn on 12 Sep 1903 by "J. C. Laughlin, President. W. E. Heyler, Cashier".
• It ends "Correct Attest: L. HEGNAUER, J. C. LAUGHLIN, W. E. HEYLER, Directors."

Facts: he was a director in 1903, and Laughlin was president again after the death of Fred Fix in 1901.

34. Rich Hill Tribune, Thu 27 Jul 1905, p. 1 (92623315).

L. Hegnauer, of Prarie City, was in Rich Hill last Friday. He brought a load of produce with him. He is one of our up-to-date farmers.

The same column has an item on his brother Martin: "M. Hegnauer, one of our good farmers from east of the river …".

35. Appleton City Journal, Thu 12 Apr 1906, p. 1 (863444224). The "Substantial Friends" subscription list names, among the new subscribers, "L. Hegnauer, Rockville". A separate item on the same page:

Robert Hegnauer, an exemplary and promising young man from near Prairie City, was a caller at The Journal office Tuesday to order the paper sent regularly to L. Hegnauer, R. F. D. No. 1 from Rockville. The Hegnauer family are among the best known and influential people in that part of Bates county.

37. Appleton City Journal, Thu 30 Aug 1906, p. 3 (863444893).

L. Hagnauer one of Bates county's best known and useful citizens, on Tuesday moved his family to Appleton City and now occupy the Deardoff residence in the southwest part of the city. Mr. Hegnaur becomes a temporary resident of the Prairie Queen in order that his son, who is now entering the threshold of manhood, may attend the Academy.

The Butler Daily Democrat reprinted it the same day, 30 Aug 1906, p. 3 (999278906), credited to the Journal. Facts: he moved on Tuesday 28 Aug 1906, into the Deardoff house in the south-west of Appleton City, so that Robert could attend the Academy. "Prairie Queen" was a nickname for Appleton City.

Leonard Hegnauer and family, of Pleasant Gap township, an old and valued friend of the TRIBUNE has removed from Bates county and taken up his residence in Appleton City.

Hegenauer, for many years one of Bates county's most substantial and useful citizens, but now temporarily residing in Appleton City for the purpose of sending his youngest son to the Academy, called Monday and left instructions for The Journal to be sent regularly to his son, Leonard Hagenauer, who is now at Urbana, Ill. Leonard is a former student of the Appleton City Academy and a highly exemplary young man.

C. Laughlin, President; L. Hegnauer, Vice-President and W. E. Heyle, Cashier. These gentlemen are too well known to need any introduction at our hands.

L. Hegenauer, a good solid citizen of Bates county, who is a resident of Appleton City while educating his son at the Academy, called Friday to renew his subscription to The Journal. We are sorry to learn that Mr. Hegenauer's son-in-law, Joe Link, a well known farmer near Pleasant Gap, has been in failing health for some time past, as the result of a stomach disorder. The sources disagree on the date. ACJ 26 Dec 1907, p. 6 (863446966) dates the wedding Wednesday 18 Dec at 11:30 a.m., with Rev. Fisher officiating. The Republican Press's Papinville column in the same issue, p. 8 (999651594), says Thursday the 19th.

The same page carries an article headed "Bank of Rockville.". It prints the name as "Hagnauer", and the OCR reads it as "Hagnaner", so the Hegnauer searches did not find it.

To the Bank of Rockville is due much credit for the prominent part it has taken in the developement of Rockville and the territory surrounding. This worthy institution was established in 1890. The charter for 50 years has reached the half-way station … With L. Hagnauer, president; J. E. Hook, Vice-President and W. E. Heyle Cashier, this bank is in the hands of men well up in the banking business and in whom the utmost confidence may safely be placed. Leonard Hegenauer was born in Switzerland in the year 1843 and died at his home in Appleton City, Mo., on Tuesday, Oct. 31 1916, from the effects of paralysis with which he was stricken on the Friday previous to his death. In the passing of Mr. Hegnauer, Bates county has lost an esteemed citizen whose place in life it will be hard to fill. He has been a citizen of this county since the year 1869 at which time he took a homestead and upon that place he continued to live until about ten years ago when he moved to Appleton City. As a man of business affairs, Mr. Hegnauer was a success. He was one of the charter members of the Bank of Rockville and later became vice president of that institution, a position which he held until the death of J. C. Laughlin who was then president of the bank. Soon after the death of J. C. Laughlin, in 1911, Mr. Hegnauer was made president and served in that capacity until his death. Mr. Hegnauer was a faithful member of the German Reformed church and his many kind deeds and cheerful diposition [sic] were evidences of the true character of this good man, and in his passing Bates county has cause to mourn. The deceased is survived by his widow, three sons, two daughters and three brothers. The sons are Christian, Leonard, and Robert Hegnauer and the daughters are Mrs. Fred Hammer and Mrs. Katie Link. The son Leonard is a resident of Washington and Robert lives in Illinois, while Christian is farming on the old home place. The brothers are Martin, Christian and John. The sisters are Mrs. Krattly of Carthage and Mrs Kamm of Rich Hill. The body will has [sic] been awaiting the arrival of relatives and is now at the home of his son Christian. Burial will be made in the cemetery near the German Reformed church at which the funeral services will be conducted on Sunday afternoon.—Rockville Booster.

In conversation with Mr. Heyle regarding the death of L. Hegnauer, we learn that he is the third president of the bank who has died since Mr. Heyle became cashier. The newspapers fix the move on Tuesday 28 Aug 1906, to the Deardoff residence in the south-west part of Appleton City, "in order that his son … may attend the Academy" (ACJ 30 Aug 1906, p. 3; ACJ 27 Sep 1906, p. 4; RHT 6 Sep 1906, p. 5). In 1906–07 the Journal still called it a temporary residence.
  • Conflict: the house was in "the southeast part of the city" in 1910 but "the southwest part" in 1906 and 1911.

Nothing was clipped, downloaded or saved to any tree, and no message was sent. No master, data file or export was edited. No sign-in page, paywall, purchase prompt or bot check appeared, and there was no HTTP 429. Proposals for the masters are in leonhard-proposals-2026-09-27.md. Living persons: every person named in this review was born before 1917 (the youngest is Robert's son R. L. Jr., born 1916, died 1999), none is flagged living in data/people.csv, and no [LIVING] tag is needed.

Method

• The site's own endpoints, as in the harvest: /api/search/query (by region, or by publication-ids to search one title) and /api/search/hits for the hit coordinates on a page. The OCR-text option of the hits endpoint was not used.
• Each hit was read on a crop of the page image (img.newspapers.com, with the page's own image token), zoomed on screen. Tables printed sideways were rotated on screen.
• About 90 queries, 3 s or more apart; about 145 page images opened.

Result in brief

• Of the harvest's 94 NEW items, 90 survive. Rows 67 and 75 are refuted, and rows 90 and 94 are context only (Susanna is not named in them). Row 65 is downgraded from certain to probable, and row 36 is upgraded to probable.
• 28 further items were found (§9c): 25 concern Leonhard and 6 concern Susanna (three concern both).
• New items not yet in the masters, after the review: Leonhard 111 (86 from the harvest, 25 from the review); Susanna 17 (11 and 6).
• Correction of fact: the final settlement was docketed for Tuesday 14 May 1918, not 15 May (row 101).

Like all other American citizens they favor the Republic instead of Empire and are strongly in favor of sound money. There is danger in 16 to 1, but not in the cry of Imperialism.

Mr. Hegnauer stated that it was a rather singular coincidence that the death of his father fifteen month[s] ago, was brought to him under almost the same circumstances, he receiveing the letter telling of his illness after he had received the message announcing his death.

    Conflict: the papers of 1916 (items 20–23; harvest rows 79 and 87) show that he was summoned by his father's illness and arrived three days before the death. The contemporary reports are preferred.

25. The Forum-Advocate, 21 Feb 1918, p. 5 (1025101280): "R. L. Hegnauer was summoned to Rockville, Mo., on Wednesday evening of last week by the death of his mother who passed away on Tuesday February 12th. Funeral services were held on Friday, February 15th." Independent confirmation of the certificate's date and of the Friday burial.
26. Appleton City Journal, 14 Mar 1918, p. 1 (863299348): "Mills & Routsong report the following recent sales made by them of town properties: ... Chris. Hegnauer residence in west part of town to A. Doerflinger." Probable: the couple's house, sold by Christian as administrator or heir. The capture's O06710 calls this page a notice of final settlement.

• The papers of the towns where the children lived, for the weeks of both deaths (Minnesota, Washington, Illinois, Oregon, Texas, Kansas): 6 new items, all from Wells, Minnesota.
• The wildcard Hegnau* for 1901–18, and the spellings the harvest never searched (Hegneaur, Hegeneaur, Hegnaeur, Hegnaucr and others): 11 new items. OCR misspellings in the Appleton City Journal of 1907–13 were the harvest's largest blind spot.
• 16 of the 21 unread hits of §6, and the unopened pages named in §8 item 1.
• The Rockville Booster of 1916 (all Heg*/Hag* pages; the run ends on 7 Apr 1916).
• The Luzius file's §3b-22 and §3b-35 pages, left unlinked by the capture.
• Illinois 1856–80 (Hagnauer): no notice of the 1866 licence; the Highland Hagnauers only.

• St. Clair County Republican: on the site (publication id 30938; issues of Oct–Dec 1916 and May 1918 seen), but the obituary abstracted in Ancestry's "St. Clair County Obituaries" was not found by keyword. The issues of 2, 9 and 16 Nov 1916 should be read page by page, and the title searched again under all spellings for 1884–1918.
• Rockville Booster: Nov 1916 not held (the 1916 run is 14 Jan – 7 Apr).
• The harvest's worklist: most of its 645 unopened pages were not reopened; this review opened about 145 pages by targeted search.
• Correspondence columns (Prairie City, Pleasant Gap, Route One, Rockville) should be read page by page for 1906–18: the misprints found here (Hegneaur, Hegnaeur, Hegeneaur) show that more remain.
• "Hirschi" alone in the Bates and St. Clair papers, 1869–1918 (Susanna's brother Gottlieb at Rockville), was not run.
