Newspaper item (subscription; family illness)

L. Hegenauer, a good solid citizen of Bates county, who is a resident of Appleton City while educating his son at the Academy, called Friday to renew his subscription to The Journal. We are sorry to learn that Mr. Hegenauer's son-in-law, Joe Link, a well known farmer near Pleasant Gap, has been in failing health for some time past, as the result of a stomach disorder. He is now spending considerable time at his father-in-law's home here for the purpose of taking treatment from a specialist and Mr. Hegenauer goes to Mr. Link's farm to look after things.

L. Hegnauer, of Appleton City, attended a bank meeting at Rockville Saturday, Mr. Hegnauer being Vice-President.
