THE REPUBLICANS.

Proceedings of the County Convention Saturday, Sept. 30.

The Republican county convention met at the court house in Butler, last Saturday, Sept. 30th, every township except West Boone and Prairie being fully represented.

The convention was called to order by Seth E. Cope, chairman county committee, and on motion of Mr. F. E. Kellogg, of Rich Hill, M. S. Cowles, Prof. J. M. Naylor, J. C. Lane and John H. Newton were appointed by the chair a committee on credentials, and on motion of Jno. H. Newton, of Pleasant Gap township, T. J. Fry, Clark Wix and C. A. Denton were appointed a committee on permanent organization and order of business.
