Harry Alexander Cook

Harry Alexander Cook was, according to the old family tree, the youngest child of James Harrison Cook and Adelaide M. (Addie) Haywood, born at Julian, Nemaha County, Nebraska, on 5 October 1902, who died on 16 October 1953. The tree cites no record for him.1

The family's records leave room for him. In June 1900 his parents had six children at home, the youngest, Calixte, born in May 1899.2 When his father died at Spokane, Washington, in 1919, his obituary counted nine children, all living but one son, and five surviving sons, of whom it names four: John F. and Charles of Copeland, Idaho, and James A. and Calixte of Omaha. A son born in 1902, who would have been seventeen and perhaps still at home with his mother in Spokane, fits the fifth.3
