Notes and evidence

• Hedy Hegnauer (1908–1993), California: NUMIDENT gives her birth on 27 Mar 1908 in Switzerland and her parents as Samuel Hegnauer and Rosa Siegrist (O02304); she was at Redwood City in 1950 and later married a Wirz (sons born 1950 and 1951, O03346, O03347). The mother's name Siegrist is the name of the Rochester matriarch and a Lake Hallwil (Aargau) name, so Hedy's family is probably also from the Seengen area, but no record says so. A 20th-century immigrant; not linked.
• Rosa Hegnauer (1938–1997), Texas: NUMIDENT: born 19 Jul 1938 at Fürth, West Germany, daughter of Carl Hegnauer and Freida Ordinger (O02309, O03607). In Jefferson Co., Texas, she had a daughter by Thomas Irvin Smith in 1964 and married in 1974 and 1989 (O03384, O03434, O03433). Fürth adjoins Nuremberg: this is the first American trace of the Nuremberg/Fürth Hegnauers (hypothesis H3), and should be passed to the Germany mapping.

• N. and Lena Hegnauer, Leavenworth, Kansas, 1880: N., born 1836 in Switzerland, could be Nutt of Igis (H0381, born 1834), who probably died at Chicago in 1897 (Illinois: Chicago (Cook County), Madison, Iroquois and Clinton Counties); the wife Lena (born 1848 Germany) is not Nutt's known wife Anna Barbara Bühler. Kept separate.
