Jakob Hegnauer was probably baptised on 2 July 1746 at Igis, canton Graubünden, Switzerland, the son of Nutt Hegnauer and Madlena Krädtli. On 8 October 1775 he possibly married Dorothea Theinler at Igis. Their son Walther was baptised on 2 October 1776 at Igis. Jakob probably died before 3 March 1784 at Igis.
