“Katherine Jankola”

An obituary of Katherine (Kay) Jankola, born Worek, who died on Sunday, 23 November 2014, aged 89, at Silver Cross Hospital. Born in Joliet, Illinois, she lived there all her life; she worked for Gerlach & Barklow Printing for 35 years and was a member of the former SS. Cyril & Methodius Church.

She was survived by a brother, Joseph Worek of Joliet, and by nieces, nephews and cousins. Those who had died before her were her husband, Joseph Jankola; her parents, Martin and Margaret Worek; her brothers Stanley and Andrew Worek and their wives, Irene and Helen; her sisters Julia Bahor, whose husband, Frank, had also died, and Mary Farnsworth; and a nephew, Dan Bahor.

The funeral was to leave the Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, 26 November, for Mass at the SS. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery Chapel, with burial in SS. Cyril's Cemetery.
