Elgg

Salome Peter was the wife of Hans Hegnauer of Elgg, in the canton of Zürich, Switzerland, and the mother of four daughters baptised there: Anna in October 1558, Salome, who was given her mother's name, in February 1564, Apollonia in December 1565 and Dorothea in May 1567.1–4

The patronage of Elgg's church, which the abbey of St. Gallen had once held, had passed to Zürich in 1537.5 Salome's wedding has not been found, nor her death; the Elgg burial register survives only from 1591.6
