Louise Thut was born about 1859 in Switzerland. She married Rudolph Hegnauer. Between 1881 and 1897 the couple had six children, among them Louise and Frederick. Passenger lists probably record her arriving at New York twice, in 1884 and 1910. Censuses list her at Rochester, Monroe County, New York, in 1925 and at Greece in 1940. Louise died on 11 July 1940 at Greece and was buried in Mount Hope Cemetery, Rochester.
