A death notice of Rudolph Hegnauer, who died suddenly at his home, 173 Burrows Street, Rochester, on the evening of Tuesday, 31 March 1931, in his seventy-fourth year. He left his wife, Louise; three sons, Fred, Charles and William Hegnauer; two married daughters; three brothers, Jacob, John and Albert Hegnauer; two sisters, one in Rochester and one in Switzerland; and six grandchildren.

The study treats the notice as proof that Rudolph was a brother of Jacob, John and Albert Hegnauer and the father of Frederick Rudolph and Charles Albert Hegnauer.
