Laura Elwira Hegnauer was born on 6 October 1884 and baptised at St. Gallen, Switzerland, on 18 January 1885, the daughter of Georg Hegnauer and Elisabeth Flütsch.1 Her father was probably Georg, son of Peter Hegnauer and Anna Berri of Igis. No later record of her has been found.
