Martha June Wilson, always called Mattie, was born on 14 January 1889 in Benton County, Arkansas, the fourth child of Elijah Daniel "Lige" Wilson and Sarah Ellen "Ella" Chandler.1 She grew up on her parents' rented farms in Elk River Township, McDonald County, Missouri, where the census taker found "Mattie June", 11, in 1900, with her brothers James and William and her sisters Nancy and Bertha.2 In 1910 she was 21 and still at home with her parents.3

She later married a man named Adcock, and by July 1941, as Mattie Wilson Adcock, she had a Social Security number issued in Kansas.1 Find a Grave records her death in 1960.4
