Nancy Roxy Anna Wilson was born in Arkansas in February 1884, the second child and elder daughter of Elijah Daniel "Lige" Wilson and Sarah Ellen "Ella" Chandler.1 Her parents had married in Benton County in 1881, and in 1900 she was living with them on a rented farm in Elk River Township, McDonald County, Missouri: Nancy R., 16 and single, with her brothers James and William, her sisters Mattie and Bertha, and her uncle Robert Chandler.1 Nothing later has yet been found of her.
