Walter Norman Hegnauer was born on 17 July 1891 and died on 9 December 1891, not quite five months old. He was buried in Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio.1 He was probably a son of Christian Hegnauer, an emigrant from Igis, Switzerland, and Cornelia (Nellie) Conzett, who were living at Columbus when their son Wilbur was born there in April 1893.2

  • Parents (probable, not proven): No record naming his parents has been seen. Christian and Cornelia Hegnauer are the only Hegnauer family known in Columbus in the early 1890s; their son Wilbur was born there in 1893, and Walter's birth in 1891 falls in the gap between Alma (1887) and Wilbur.2 The memorial page may link parents or show a photograph of the stone; the Franklin County probate court's death register for 1891 and Green Lawn Cemetery's interment records should name the parents or the person responsible for the burial. Do not attach him to his parents on WikiTree until one of these is read.
