Thirteen people: the grandfather (Peter Hirschi, b. 1779), the parents (Christian b. 1814 and Magdalena b. 1814) and ten children in the birth order of Find a Grave and the family tree. The clerk transposed the given names of the two men (the 71-year-old is Peter, the 36-year-old Christian). The children's ages run 2-6 years low, as often on these lists; Susanna "3" for a child of 4. Christian's Find a Grave biography (ship Belmont from Le Havre, landed New York 1 Aug 1850, reached Highland 14 Aug 1850) agrees. Save to Susanna (single-person record) as Arrival 1 Aug 1850, New York; it outranks the 1910 census "1859" and the obituary's "1849" (probably the year the family left Switzerland, or a slip).

Mrs. L. Hegnauer Dead Mrs. L. Hegnauer was born in Switzerland, May 15, 1846, and came to America in 1849. Her father and mother located in Highland, Illinois, where she was married to the late L. Hegnauer in 1866. They moved to Pleasant Gap township, Bates county, Missouri, in 1869, where they resided until eleven years ago, when they retired from the farm to live a quiet life in Appleton City, where they lived until Father Hegnauer died over a year ago. She again returned to the Prairie City vicinity to live with her daughters and son until God summoned her home above. She passed quietly into the better land February 12, 1918. She leaves five children, 21 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren, [1] brother and 1 sister. Mother Hegnauer reached the ripe age of 71 years, 8 months and 27 days. The funeral service was held at the Reformed Church n[ear] Prairie City, being conducted by the p[astor], Rev. Vollprecht. Interment was made in the cemetery nearby.

John Hegnauer (H0002) married Catharine Appel (d. 1876) and then a Mary (b. Mar 1845, Switzerland); the 1885 probate lists no Hirschi daughter Mary, so this is probably the paper's error for Leonhard (Christian Hirschi's actual son-in-law), or a loose "brother's father-in-law". Lead for H0002.

APR. 1918"). 12 Feb 1918 is right; the stone is wrong.
Death place: Pleasant Gap Township, Bates Co., at the home of her son Christian near Prairie City (certificate; ACJ; Rich Hill Mining Review). The tree, Find a Grave and the Flynn-Russell tree say Appleton City (wrong).
Burial: 15 Feb 1918 (certificate "2/15"; ACJ "buried … Friday"), Reform Cemetery, gravesite H228. FamilySearch has 18 Feb (wrong); the tree has "Aft. 12 Feb 1918".
