Caroline Seip was born in July 1866 in Germany. She married Jacob Rudolph Hegnauer. Between 1891 and 1899 the couple had five children at Rochester, Monroe County, New York, among them Amelia and Frederick. Censuses list her at Rochester in 1900, 1910 and 1920. Caroline probably died on 4 June 1922 at Rochester.
