Judith Frick was baptised at Igis, Graubünden, Switzerland, on 11 December 1870, the daughter of Johann Joseph (Johannes) Frick and Anna Hegnauer, and a granddaughter of Peter Hegnauer and Anna Berri.1 She evidently went to America with her parents. At Burlington, Des Moines County, Iowa, on 24 May 1893, aged twenty-two, she married William Fredrick Schaley; the record names her parents as John Frick and Anna Hegnauer.2 Her later life has not yet been traced.
