Life story
Anna Adank was baptised at Ardez, in the Lower Engadine, on 24 January 1864, the first child of Adam Adank and Maria Hegnauer, who had married at Igis, Graubünden, in August 1863.1 She was a granddaughter of Peter Hegnauer and Anna Berri. No later record of her has been found; she is not named among her mother's children on WikiTree, and she may have died young.

The only index entry of the baptism. Its record page gives digital folder 8196022, image group 004, image 56. The FamilySearch catalog puts that folder on film 1192669, which holds the Lower Engadine registers of Ftan (items 1–2), Ardez (items 3–4), Guarda (5) and Lavin (6); image group 004 is the Ardez book of 1837–1875.

- Place: The index gives only "Schweiz", which FamilySearch standardizes as "Schwyz"; that is not the canton Schwyz. The record page gives digital folder 8196022, image group 004, image 56. In the FamilySearch catalog this folder is film 1192669, with the registers of Ftan (items 1–2), Ardez (items 3–4), Guarda (item 5) and Lavin (item 6). Image group 004 is the Ardez book of 1837–1875: 51 of the 62 index entries for Clalüna, an Ardez family, are in it, and group 006 holds the Lavin family Filli. The baptism is therefore probably at Ardez, not at Igis as the study first thought. The image would confirm it. Her parents' marriage of August 1863 is also entered in the Ardez book (see Maria Hegnauer).
