Life story
Antonina Pomykał was the wife of Józef Senkowski of Wesoła, a village in the district of Brzozów and the parish of Barycz, in Galicia, the part of Poland then ruled by Austria, and the mother of Małgorzata Senkowska (Margaret), who was born about 1886.1–2
She is known from a single record. In November 1907 Małgorzata, twenty, sailed from Antwerp to New York, naming her father in Wesoła as her nearest relative at home, and went on to Joliet, Illinois.2 When she married Martin Worek there, at Holy Cross, the Polish church, on 26 July 1909, the priest wrote her parents' names in the Latin register as Joseph S[enkowski] and Antonina Pomykał.1 Margaret raised six children in Joliet (see her profile). What became of Antonina in Galicia is not known.

- Sources: Her only record is her daughter's 1909 marriage register, read on the image in the study's survey of the Worek family.1 Her daughter's passenger list names only the father.2
- Name: Pomykał is as written in the register (with the Polish ł). As a married woman she would have been known in Polish as Antonina Senkowska.1
- Old family tree: The old Ancestry tree has only "Antonina", about 1868 to about 1948, without a source; those dates are not used.
