“Women Work on Clothing”

A report on the emergency work programmes in Minneapolis, describing the emergency clothes station in the Citizen's Aid Building, sponsored by the Family Welfare Association. There women were paid by the hour to mend and remake used clothing, and since late August more than 1,500 garments had gone to needy families. The station was directed by Mrs. Lotta D. Hegnauer (Lotta Alice Donnell) of the Family Welfare staff.
