• The "Baden, Aargau" entries are probably Seengen-area records (possible). The spouses' names — Thut (Gottlieb Thut, 1867; Jacob "Thürt" 1813), Siegrist, Bolliger, Häusermann/Häusenmann, Haller, Büchli/Buchli, Fischer — are Lake Hallwil and Lenzburg-district names, and Thut and Siegrist are the names of the Rochester family's wives. The place is not proof: the images (or the FamilySearch film notes for these entries) must be checked.
• The Seengen emigrant couple (probable): Luise Hegnauer, b. c.1846, daughter of Jakob [Hegnauer] × Verena Siegrist, married Rudolf Buchli on 10 May 1869 (O01991). Her parents are taken to be Jacob Hegnauer (c.1825–1899) × Verena Siegrist (c.1826–1896) of Rochester, N.Y. — H0522 × H0523 (US keys US-ROC-001/002), whose son Jacob Rudolph was born at "Sengen" on 26 May 1859. The names are the same and the ages fit a marriage about 1845; Luise did not emigrate with the family in 1884 (she was married). Their other children (Rudolph H0524, Jacob Rudolph H0534, John Henry H0545, Albert Gottlieb H0568, and the possible Verena H0590, Carl H0588, Lina H0591) are charted in Rochester, Monroe County, New York: the Seengen (Aargau) family.
• Other Aargau families in the same register: Jakob × Maria Studler (Elisabetha b. c.1825, m. Rudolf Büchli 1846; Rudolf b. c.1828, m. Elisabeth Häggi 1852) — Jacob of Rochester (b. c.1825) could be a son of this couple, which would make them the next generation back (possible, not linked; no record names Jacob's parents); Samuel × Anna Engel (four children b. 1830–1841, married 1861–1868); and Hegnauer brides and mothers of 1813–1867 (Thürt, Schillig, Meier, Bolliger, Matter, Schlatter, Wacker).
• Samuel × Rosa Siegrist (parents of Hedy, b. 1908, later California: H0438/H0439) and Rudolf, b. 16 Oct 1881 at Seengen (the New York seaman, H0501) have no Swiss record in the extract. 1. What is "Baden, Aargau" in the FamilySearch index? Read the film/catalogue entry for O01341, O01421, O01979, O01984, O01990, O01991 and O01993: if they are Seengen (or Hallwil-area) registers, the Seengen family is proven Swiss-side and gains two generations.
2. Seengen registers (Kirchenbücher and Bürgerregister): Jacob's birth c.1825 (son of Jakob × Maria Studler?), his marriage to Verena Siegrist c.1845, and the baptisms of Luise (1846), Verena (1852), Rudolph (1855–57), Jacob Rudolph (1859), Carl (1862), Lina (1865), Johann Heinrich (1866) and Albert Gottlieb (1870).
3. Since when are there Hegnauers at Seengen? A Seengen Bürgerrecht held by Hegnauers before 1800 would be a third old centre besides Elgg and Igis; the Familiennamenbuch der Schweiz entry for Hegnauer lists the old citizenships.
