• What it is: the same media item (id 69b5476f-…) already abstracted for H0003 (H0003-member-media.md item 10) and H0001 (H0001-member-media.md item 1): scans of pp. 719-721 of the 1918 History of Bates County, Missouri (Atkeson), running head "History of Bates County". The sketch is of Christian Hegnauer of Pleasant Gap Township (b. 1868, Leonhard's son), and one paragraph (p. 719) is on Leonhard (H0003). Page 1 was re-read on screen for this pass. Published county history compiled from family information, so derivative.

Claims that bear on Margreth (close paraphrase, p. 719)

1. Leonard [Leonhard] Hegnauer was born in Switzerland, 25 April 1843; his parents were Lucius and Margaret (Bernet) Hegnauer, also natives of Switzerland, who immigrated to America in 1856 and made a permanent settlement in Madison County, Illinois, where Leonard was reared and educated.
2. Nothing else on pp. 719-721 concerns Margaret: no birth date, death, burial, or later residence.

Assessment.

• Maiden name Bernet and the pairing with Lucius: correct. Agrees with her Igis baptism (27 Feb 1819, parents Johannes Bernet and Dorothea Grest), the 1840 Igis marriage, the children's Igis baptisms, and her sons' death certificates (Martin 1927 "Margaret Barnet"; Christian 1935 "Margaret Bernet").
• Immigration 1856: correct. The ship Chace manifest (NY, 29/30 Sep 1856) lists "Marguerite Hegemann 37".
• Madison County settlement: wrong for the parents (1860 census: Boeuf Twp, Gasconade Co., Mo.). It telescopes Leonhard's own stay in Illinois (1865-1869) into the parents' story.
• Value for H0036: low; nothing on her death. Recommendation: Ignore on H0036 (as on H0001). The story is already accepted on H0003, where it belongs. If the lead prefers to attach it for the parents' names, it adds no fact.
