John Schamann

John Schamann was the husband of Elsbeth Hegnauer, a daughter of Peter Hegnauer and Anna Berri of Igis, Graubünden, Switzerland. In 1878 the couple lived at Fountain City, Buffalo County, Wisconsin, where their son Johann was born on 15 September.1 As John Schamaun he is named as the father of Hedwig B. Schamaun at her marriage at Helena, Montana, in May 1919.2 His birth, origin and death have not yet been found.
