Life story
Lenora Grill was born about 1912, probably in Missouri, the daughter of John P. Grill and Christina Louise Kamm, who had married at Pueblo, Colorado, on 11 May 1912.1–2 In January 1920 she was seven, living with her parents and her grandmother Louisa Grill on the farm they rented in Osage Township, outside Rich Hill, Bates County. Her Kamm grandparents, Robert and Barbara, lived on the next farm.1
The family tree gives her death as 2 September 1921, when she would have been about nine, but no record of it has yet been found (see Research Notes).
