“Rev. Donnell's Rites Thursday”

An obituary of the Rev. George J. Donnell, 81, a retired Presbyterian minister of 4208 West Forty-fourth Street, Minneapolis, who died on Sunday, 19 July 1936, at the home of his sister in Columbia, Tennessee. He had been moderator and stated clerk of the La Crosse presbytery and, at his retirement, chairman of the Christian education committee of the Synod of Wisconsin; his last pastorate was at Neillsville, Wisconsin, and he had once been in the Mankato presbytery in Minnesota. He was a member of the Masonic lodge (A.F. & A.M.) at New Washington, Indiana.

His funeral was set for 2 p.m. on Thursday, 23 July, at the Minneapolis home, with burial in Hillside Cemetery. He was survived by two daughters in Minneapolis, one of them Mrs. Lotta Hegnauer; by his sister in Columbia; and by a brother in Macon, Tennessee.
