Prairie City Items.

Glorious rains and abundance of water.

The wind is quite a novelty after so much dust.

Thanksgiving day was observed by most of our people.

Mr. and Mrs. Gus Seelinger spent last week at Schell City.

Mrs. Wehnes who has been quite ill is recovering.

Leonard Hegenaur who has been attending school at Columbia is now at home slowly recovering from a serious spell of typhoid fever.

Miss Pingry of Kansas is visiting relatives here.

Rev. Howard preached a very interesting sermon here Sunday, selecting for a text "ye are the salt of the earth."

The Sunday School has made arrangements for Christmas exercises.

There is a movement on foot to build a church at this place. Let everyone share in the praise-worthy undertaking.
