William Cary Harbour was born in 1895, at Pocahontas, Iowa, according to a family tree.1–2 In 1930, at about thirty-five, he married Dorothy Lucille Curtis, nineteen or twenty, the second daughter of Arthur Garfield Curtis and Hazel Lucile Cook of Maynard, Chippewa County, Minnesota; the tree gives the wedding as 3 September 1930 at Montevideo, the county seat.1–2 They had two daughters, among them Beth LaVonne, born in 1937.1

William died in 1968, at Maynard according to the tree.1–2 Dorothy stayed on at Maynard: she was "Dorothy Harbour of Maynard, Minn." when her mother died ten years later, and she lived until 2002.1, 3
