Life story
Allen Dale Wilson was born on 1 October 1951 at Yakima, Washington, a son of Floyd Perry Wilson and Cora Laverne Ward.1 His parents were then living on Rural Route 1 at Tieton, a small orchard town in the foothills west of Yakima, and it was there that he spent the whole of his short life.
He died at home on the afternoon of 6 November 1951, just five weeks old. No doctor had attended him, and the Yakima County coroner certified his death as an accident. His mother gave the details for his death certificate.1 Two days later, on 8 November, he was buried in Tahoma Cemetery at Yakima; Keith & Keith of Yakima were the funeral directors.1

Research notes
- Identity: The death certificate names both parents in full, Floyd Perry Wilson and Cora Laverne Ward, and his mother, "Mrs. Cora Laverne Wilson", was the informant.1 The family tree gives the same parents and a birth and death in 1951 in Yakima County.2 The certificate is also the first record seen that gives Floyd's middle name, Perry, in full, and that shows Cora Laverne Ward as Floyd's wife.
- Cause of death: The coroner's handwritten entries, as read on the image, give the death as accidental, at home, with no medical attendance; the wording is partly hard to read and is not quoted here beyond that.1
- Earlier treatment: Until this certificate was found (27 Sep 2026), the study treated him as possibly living, because the family tree cited no record for his death. The old Ancestry tree had attached a Washington death-certificate index entry to him, which led to this search.
