   Born to Ray Sims and Edna Lorene (Cribb) Sims. The 1950 census gives her birthplace as Illinois (see Research Notes).

   Her obituary and the Find a Grave memorial give 14 Sep 1928 at Davenport, Iowa, and name her parents; her age in April 1950 (22) fits. The 1950 census's "Illinois" is the weaker value: Davenport is across the Mississippi from Rock Island and Moline, where she grew up.

2. 1949 Marriage, with Ralph Edward Putt proven

   The obituary gives the year; the place (probably Rock Island County, Illinois) and the day have not been found. In April 1950 they had been married about a year, and it was her first marriage. The marriage lasted until Ralph's death in 2015 (Find a Grave).

   Her obituary (on Find a Grave) says she married Ralph Edward Putt in 1949, and Find a Grave links his memorial as her spouse, "m. 1949". The 1950 census shows Vivian Putt, 22, married, the wife of Ralph Putt, 25, at Moline, married for one year and not married before.

   211 17th Avenue, Moline (E.D. 81-60, dwelling 58), with her husband Ralph; the same house in 1949. She had completed the twelfth grade.

   Her own line of the 1950 census (index read), in the household of her husband, Ralph Putt.

4. 1950 Occupation Moline, Rock Island · proven

   Stenographer at an iron works, 40 hours a week, 52 weeks a year; $2,600 in 1949 (1950 census). Her obituary names her employers as Moline Iron Works and, later, John Deere Malleable.

   The occupation columns of her line of the 1950 census, and her obituary, which says she was a secretary at Moline Iron Works and at John Deere Malleable.

5. 2010 Residence between 2010 and 13 Apr 2020 · Clayton, Johnston · proven

   From 2010 until her death, after earlier homes at Poughkeepsie, New York, in Florida, at Alexandria, Virginia, and again in Florida (obituary).

   Her obituary, as carried on Find a Grave, gives her homes after Moline and says she lived in Clayton from 2010.

6. 2020 Death 13 Apr 2020 · Clayton, Johnston · proven

   On a Monday, aged 91; her husband Ralph had died before her.

   The Find a Grave memorial and index, with the obituary courtesy of McLaurin Funeral Home, Clayton, give 13 Apr 2020 at Clayton, Johnston County, North Carolina. No death certificate has been seen; the Social Security Death Index does not cover 2020.

7. 2020 Burial after 13 Apr 2020 · Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island · proven

   Plot 4-0126, with her husband. A memorial service was held at McLaurin Funeral Home, Clayton, on 18 Jul 2020. Inscription: "Loving wife mother friend loved the Lord". The date of interment is not known.

   Find a Grave gives her burial in Rock Island National Cemetery, plot 4-0126, and her obituary says she was to be buried there with her husband.
