“Man Found Dead In His Auto”

A news report of the death of Woodrow E. Wilson, 49, of 14018 80th Street, Puyallup, Washington, who had moved to the area from Aberdeen in September. A deputy sheriff reported that he had been found dead in his car on the afternoon of Thursday, 3 November 1966, by his wife, from whom he was separated, and that a garden hose had been run from the exhaust pipe through a rear window.

Born in Oklahoma, Wilson had come to the Northwest as a boy. He was a millworker at the Weyerhaeuser Company's White River mill at Enumclaw and had served in the Army in the Second World War. He was survived by his wife; two sons, one at home and one in Seattle; five daughters, all of Aberdeen; three sisters, Helen (Mrs. Fulbright) and Millie (Mrs. Pearson), both of Aberdeen, and Ruth (Mrs. Martin) of Westport; a brother, Odis (printed Otis), of Aberdeen; and six grandchildren. The Powers Wrigley Clements Funeral Home of Puyallup was to announce the services.

His death certificate dates his death to 2 November, the day before he was found.
