“Hegnauer Rites Set Saturday”

A notice of the funeral of Elizabeth Hegnauer of Metolius, Oregon, who died on Tuesday, 7 January 1947, aged 82. The service was set for 2 p.m. on Saturday, 11 January, at the Metolius Methodist church, with the Zacher mortuary of Redmond in charge and burial in the Metolius cemetery. She was survived by three sisters, living in Newberg, in Hillsboro and in Harrison, Idaho. The notice names no children and does not mention her husband, Christ Hegnauer, who had died in 1935; with the census returns, the study takes this as confirming that the couple had no children.
