Prairie City Notes.

Plenty of rain.

Some of our cornfields are taking on the national color of Ireland, especially between the rows. The wheat looks very promising, and if this wet weather does not bring on rust, the prospect for an abundant crop is good.

Leonard Hegenaur went to Chicago last week to take in the fair.

Emil Bartz will go to St. Louis this week and on to the Fair later in the season.

Miss Lydia Fix is visiting her cousin, Mrs. Bennet at Rich Hill.

The German Lutheran church is undergoing repairs.
